Re: Found my knock issue

unplug the vacum line from your egr, put your finger over the nipple an push the diaphram, if its bad it'll push in easy, if its good it'll pull a vacum

Re: Found my knock issue

hooked up my laptop via datamaster to the ty this afternoon.
Code 32. EGR valve operated at 40% duty off the bat (under light load, around 1k RPM).
DM read the EGR duty cycle should be around 3%.
Rich conditions still appear via the WBo2. Other then that and nearly 500 knock per crank of the motor everything looks OK. Damn i wish i had all the tools i need to diagnose this issue.

Yeah i do have the light duty truck fuel and emisions service manual. And the thought of a faulty PCM makes me shake a little bit hahaha. Anyone else run into this issue and know what i should try before i send it back to the mechanics after screeming at the warranty company? haha

Re: Found my knock issue

Sweet, ill do that after i get done cleaning out the garage hahaha.
Ill have to improvise something to cap the vac fitting on the EGR but that shouldnt be too hard, inch piece of vac line with a clamp on the end should do it heh.

Ya, it's got a Turbo
Re: Found my knock issue

Just pull the line off the EGR and plug it with a golf tee. They make great plugs!
