You knwo Ive read a bunch of posts about his and it seems so easy. However, I am stumped. Maybe something is wrong with my turck. If Im not mistaken, you put a bolt through the top of the upper arm and then down through some hole in the frame arm? Problem is, my frame arm or whatever its called has a big chunk cut out of it that looks liek its for the CV shaft to go through. Am i not seeing something here?

Re: Front end limitrer questions

You put the limiter inplace where your top out rubber bushing is.
The top out bushing is held w/a 14 mm nut,,, do you see that?

I just installed energy suspension urethane traction bar snubber bushings.
you need to shave them down a bit though.
I did not want to have metal to metal contact using just a bolt & a couple nuts or a bolt w/a welded nut.
Your top out bushing used to be held in place by a 14 mm nut & a pin that locates it.

The picture you have with the two holes in it.

BTW,,,, what happened to you top out bushings?

If youre talking about hte two holes, I took them out. What Im after here is, what do the bolts connect to besides the top arm, I get that part but look at my frame arm, Theres no hole there, it looks cut away or something, is htat how its supposed to look?

the bolt is mounted to the a arm by a bolt welded in at the correct angle, where the old limter rubber hit that frame pad is where the end of the bolt bottoms out, by making the bolt farther into the a-arm it is closer to the frame pad thus making the suspesion travel less, i have a picture some where....

Yeha i got it after I went for a ride with the bolt going through the frame arm with a nut on the other side. I jsut wasnt thinking at all. Didnt make a lick of sense to me til I saw how I screwed it up. I just got back from lowes with new bolts and all metal lock nuts. I got a 7/16 all thread just incase it ends up over the hole I drilled in the frame arm.
