Fuel Pump Relay

The stock boost relay appears to be melted so it won't mount on the bracket on the firewall. I want to be able to reattach mine back on the firewall.

Anyone got one or know where to get it? The relay is not the issue perhaps, it's the casing.

The relay may still work but you need a new one because the mounting part is integral to the sealed relay.

Relay is popular, usually stocked at parts stores, and used for other (mostly GM) applications including AC compressors, fuel pumps, etc.

I have been seeing a few melted IC relay's of recent. Anyone have an idea why are these melting? Should they be replaced as a preventative maintenance?

Head to a picka part, they should be a common GM housing. Relays are like a light bulb, they can fail at any time.

It is a Hella housing and all the S10s I looked through in the last pick a part didn't have the right one.

Turbodig had this same issue. I've been after this for a while and can't seem to find one.

Edit: May have the wrong relay - just went to the truck. The part number is 25525638, Hella 960388 - 19.

I have a relay in there with 10034222 already - what is the one next to it, on the left as you look at it? There are two blades on the bracket at the rear, one small and the other large.

The Hella relay case has melted. I ordered a replacement one from Rock Auto and it arrived but the casing is different from the one in their pic although the relay fits.

The left one as you look at it- (passenger side) is the fuel pump relay P/N #25525638 is easily identified by the gray wire with a black single plastic connector tap for the fuel pump . The right as you look at it- (driver side) is the IC Relay P/N 10034222.
They may be reversed - you can hang them on either one of the two hangers.

I just went out and confirmed this with a flashlight on my truck for you. (no guessing).

You said IC Relay. You probably meant the Fuel Pump relay. Its ok. - we drive on the wrong side of the road here ya know.:rotf:

If you buy from Rock Auto you would have to select a GM Part or AC Delco I would think for it to be the same or similar fitting.

I ordered from Rock Auto and got a relay that fits the fuel pump connector but doesn't hang off the bracket.

You can't swap the fuel pump relay with the IC relay on that bracket. This is my problem. The bracket has different mounting tabs.

Grrr....

Mark go to Nu Car Chevy right down the road from your place and get it. You may pay more but you will get the right one.

Did you get this resolved? I've got the same Hella relay on my 92 Ty and the housing's shot on it too. It's on the passenger side, next to the IC relay, and the wiring to it looks like it's for the turbo boost cutout relay. Did a search on Rock Auto website for part number 25525638 and it's come back with an Airtex/Wells part #1R1241. I'm gonna order one up and see if it fits. I'll let you know.

The one on the left is the boost relay: 15591178

The one on the right is the IC relay: 10034222

Here's the relay im using for as a replacement to my ic replay. Slide right on like the factory one
