Future owner?

Is in over my head......
Hello everyone.
I'm PJ and most of you can figure out that I have an Eagle Talon. By the time most of you read this I will be on the way with SycloneJoe to look at a Typhoon that I am thinking about buying for my wife. I have several toys in the driveway including a Mazda B-2200 with a FI smallblock, a Tracker with a little lift kit, a Honda Odyssey with 20's, and my Talon that is currently blown up due to an overheating occurance.

The Typhoon I am looking at currently needs a transmission and some tuning. I will 90% likely be putting in a 4L80 because the truck also has other mods that will, once tuned properly, kill a 700r anyways. That means I will need to read all the how-to stuff on the conversion process. I know my way around the jap cars and can do fine tuning on them but will have to learn a new process for this truck. I will be keeping it simple to begin with since it is "for my wife".

I'll post more details on the truck once I make the purchase including pictures.

Re: Future owner?

+1 for the Middle TN crew! We drove down today and looked at it. He's going back next weekend with the trailer to bring it home!

It's if good shape. 60k miles. No rust. Somebody threw the whole ATR catalogue at it. It needs a trans and A LOT of minor work & tuning. No worries. It's going to a good home! I'm sure pics will come next week.

I guess I do not know this truck. I am surprised PJ wasn't at your house for the get together the other day.

Re: Future owner?

Is the Ty in question the former ATR truck? The ATR truck has Black over orange paint and is for sale in Kentucky.

Edit:

Based on Nate's repsonse its not nevermind.

No. This truck is in SE TN near Chattanooga. It is loaded up with ATR pieces, but by no means their shop truck. I will have some pictures once the dually is connected to it for the ride home with me and my wife. I have to expand the garage in order to get the room to work on it as well. I am hoping it has enough tranny life left in it to at least move around the driveway and up on the trailer under its own power.

Re: Future owner?

Its a syty. You'd be lucky to have a turn signal work under its own power.... heh

Welcome to hell. The world of syty ownership.

Re: Future owner?

Well due to a little mix up- we will be going down THIS weekend to pick up the truck. With my wife having a wreck and a bunch of other stuff popping up all at once- it made it impossible to get down there on Sunday after church. Hopefully it will be on my trailer before lunch on Saturday.
