GAST Meet - Spring 2006

When - March 17th-19th (Fri-Sun)
Where - Reynolds, GA (Silver Dollar Raceway)
What - Spring GAST & GA F-Body Shootout
Who - All GM performance vehicles (SyTys, GNs, F-Bodys, Vettes, etc...)

This is our semiannual meet that we have with the GA F-Body group. This year should be a good year as a very good friend of mine is now President of the GAFBA, so maybe if we dig our claws into this meet deeper, we can get our own class/trophy.

Tentative plan will be:

Friday - Everyone arrives, eat supper as a group, parking lot BS'ing.
Saturday - Show/Shine/Wrench/Tune, dinner/supper as a group, trip to the track that night if enough are interested, more parking lot BS'ing.
Sunday - Leave hotel around 8:30 am and make trip to track, racing (9:00am-5:00pm), various departure times.

Is this the same place as the last one? I am too lazy to look at my hotel receit. I had alot of fun. I will be checkin my schedule. Typhoon probably won't be running again, you know the usual for these things.

Yep, sure is. Hopefully, I'll have a little more organized schedule for us to do this year (I'm gonna try to track down a cart track around there for us to have fun at one night). I'll probably take all day Friday off and get there in the early afternoon.

That sucks Tim.....always fun to have you around.

You know i will be there but truckless (have't even had time to touch it since it spun a rod bearing between work and school).
but i will definently be there.

I will have my pocket bike there becasue i have some chains coming and we are going to have to race hood. It is running an open down pipe like the truck(exhaust broke off)hahaha.

BTW Pope I havent worked on mine either. it's sat in the exact same spot I put it when I brought it back from the last meet. not enough time.

Looks like I've got work to do to the chopper.

You have to bring your truck Jonathan....it's the only one that can lay down a decent time (in GA, SC, or FL). You have a month and half......get to work!

Haha, same here. I still have not bought the prop shaft for mine. I'll have to bring the white car again, lol.

eh, i may have to sit this one out.... sucks, cause the Sy finally runs good enough to actually tune on.

im more pissed about missing out on riding the pocket bikes more than anything else. I hurt for a good 2 weeks after the wreck I took at the hotel.

we'll see. never know for last minute stuff.

it killed me missing the sept. gast meet (the whole reason i was to get the body work done)
i might take the ride up pending on finaces, i'll know for sure before hand...
though since my Ty is fuxd right now, i'll likely be riding in the 94' GM beast

it doesn't have a turbo, but the bags empting sound enough like a BOV to convince the ricers :rotf:

you better watch out hood i got some of that 112 octance gas and a 50:1 mix in mine.
but you will get me off the line for sure becasue the sprocket i have on there hopefully i will be able to hit some were in the mid 40'smph range if i can keep from breaking chains, because the stock spocket the fastest i could get it was around low 30's mph.

but i will try to get that new motor in and running but will just have to see with work, school, and the girlfriend(you know how that goes) Might have a little surprise for yall after valentines day of her for your viewing pleasure, will just have to see if she lets me post them or not.

Yea i know john I have been swamped here at work and school, i have to look at the poor pathic thing every time i go into the house becasue it is stuck in the gurage for the time being.

Hell i could always just unplug the knock sensor and turn the boost up with some c16 and then see how fast it will go before the motor sees how far it can make a rod fly out of the motor. hahaha j/k


wonder if they will let us take the pocket bikes on the track hhhhhuuuuummmm that would be funny as hell.

Is this date good with everyone? We don't have to plan for this wk-end if it interferes with other plans. I'd like the next meet to be a good one, so if it's 3 trucks and 6 people, we may just hold off.
