That is pretty sweet for a grand total of what? maybe $40 to include paint.

I'd guess a lot less. Those caps and couplings aren't but about a buck or two a piece. They do look different. Maybe change it up a bit and use a 90• elbow behind the coupling. Or use two and connect them together in a "U". The sky is the limit with some imagination.

Good find. That's a decent idea. I like the fact that you can still use the speaker grille and the speaker will still function.

I think cutting up a pillar pod for parts adds considerably to the cost.

Those look pretty cool but I wouldn't want to screw those into the factory dash. I got the 3 gauge pillar thing from autometer and mounted it to the metal plate under the ash tray.

How hard is it to swivel those around? I wouldn't mind putting those in my Jeep if they don't flip around.

They seem to hold pretty good. They rotate left and right and up and down. Doesn't really swivel plus once you set them you can tighten the screws to make them stationary. They come with foam stickers if no screw are used. They could also be taken off the base and installed on an old pillar trim piece and pain to match.

I'll probably end up setting them on the dashboard since one scre lines up with the speaker grill. Pics to follow soon.
