GM TURBO 6 October Meet

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Folks this is gonna be a big one. We would like to thank Richard Clark and Dennis Kirban for working together with us to help make this event as successful as possible. We have a 3 day event planned for the weekend of October 17th - 19th (Friday thru Sunday) and you don't want to miss this.

Schedule of Events
Friday
There will be a FREE Test-N-Tune at Piedmont Dragway with gates opening at 4pm and time runs starting at 5pm going until 9pm. This track time is open to ANY turbo regal, SY/TY, TTA, or any other Buick turbo V6 powered vehicle. This is a great time to meet new folks and fellowship with old and new friends.

Saturday
We will be meeting once again at Richard Clarks shop in Burlington, NC with a starting time of 10am - until. There will be FREE FOOD for all folks who attend this event (BBQ chicken, pig pickin, potatoes, cole slaw, sweet tea, etc...) We MUST have a headcount to be sure that everyone will have plenty of food. There will be FREE dyno time (mustang dyno) for anyone who wants to see how much power that your turbo v6 will make. Richards shop is equipped with all kinds of equipment if you need your powermaster tested, fuel injectors tested and flowed, buick v6 cylinder head bench, converter flushing, etc... The best part is that we were able to have some very special guests that have agreed to come and join us for a casual tech session that anyone can ask questions about their particular field in the buick community. The following individuals are scheduled to appear all weekend to answer any of your questions:
Dan Strezo - DLS Engine - Engines
Cal Hartline - Hartline Performance - Engine Management
Eric Marshall - TurboTweak - Computer Chips
Paul Ferry - HR PartsNstuff - Supensions
Julio Don - Alkycontrol - Alcohol Injection
Vince Janis - Janis Transmission - Transmissions
Pete - Precision Turbo & Engine - Turbochargers

Sunday
We will be back to Richards Shop from 10am - 4pm for anyone that wants to stay the weekend and joins us for what we believe with be a fantastic event at with the individuals joining us for the tech session will rival that of any large Buick races anywhere in the country. There will be further information regarding a host hotel with a discount given specifically for this event. We hope everyone can join us in October here in NC for the cool fall weather. For anyone staying in hotels we will give a free welcome pack to show you all what Burlington NC has to offer (Restaurants, Shopping, Entertainment, etc...). We hope to make this an absolute fantastic time and hope to have another meeting sometime in the future. Again we would like to thank Richard Clark and Dennis Kirban for helping to make this event the largest on the east coast this side of the Nats. If anyone needs any further details please feel free to PM me for further information. As we get closer to the event we will give hotel information as well as directions to the event. Thank you for your time!!

Wow, you're coming from the Northeast. From what I've seen we should have quite a few from outside NC coming. I think I'll be working one of the registration tables and maybe the 50/50 drawing. Not sure whether I'll be driving the Ty or Gn yet, guess whichever is cleaner :)

Re: GM Turbo 6 October 2008 Meet Info

The meet is in Burlington. The track is Piedmont Dragstrip, Mt Hope Church Rd just past Greensboro,
Coming from Greensboro (I-40 East): Take exit 132, the Mt. Hope Church Road exit and turn right and go approximately 6 miles and turn left on Holt's Store Road and the track is about 1/4 mile on the right.

Direstions to meet:
2557-C Faucette Lane, Burlington,
NC 27217. The phone number at this location is 336-570-0341

If you will be coming in from the WEST on I40 or from I-85 / 40 (from Charlotte area) (Asheville, Hickory,
Winston-Salem)
Get off on Exit 143 (Alamance Road), turn North. set your odometer to “0”,
and pay close attention to landmarks and
signs, as there will be several turns. Just to be sure that you are heading
in the right direction, at .2 miles there will be a Chevrolet Dealer (Dick
Shirley) on your right, and at .4 miles there will be an Exxon station at
the intersection of Alamance Road (62) and Mebane Street.
At 1.2 miles, you will come to an intersection where 62 merges with Church
Street. There is a Domino’s Pizza across the street. Go through this
intersection (it will curve VERY slightly to the right.) Stay on 62 North.
You
will see signs indicating 62/70—follow those indicating North.
At 1.7 miles there is a Citgo station on your right; continue to follow the
Route 62/70 North signs.
At 2.6 miles the street becomes a divided highway.
At 2.8 miles there is an Exxon station on your left.
At 3 miles you will cross under a railroad bridge.
At 3.3 miles you will turn LEFT onto Holt Street (there will be a sign
indicating 62 North to turn left. After completing this turn, you will cross
62 South after l block. At this point, Holt Street turns into Rauhut Street
(both are still 62 North).
At 6.6 miles you will come to an intersection with a Shell Station on the
right;
continue through this intersection.
At 8.5 miles you will turn RIGHT onto Faucette Lane.
At 9.4 miles there will be a small white house on your left with 2 metal
building and several semi-trailers behind it. Turn left at the driveway. The
second metal building is Autosound 2000
