I went out to lunch with a friend of mine today. We sat right by the cook station and one of the cooks says, who's typhoon is that out there. So I say its mine and he starts telling me what bad ass trucks they are. So I accept the compliment and he starts telling me how amazing they would make a Twin turbo Jimmy like that. I told him they were just single turbo and he didn't seem to believe me for a minute. So then he tells us that if he could have afforded it when he was a kid he would have gotten the GMC Hurricane. I asked him what that was and he told me same thing as a SYTY but that it was a minivan that handled waaay better and was just a little bit faster. :roll: I was going to tell him how wrong and retarded he was but he was in the process of making our food.

hilarious. I love how people act like they know more about these trucks then the owners. When I got in my wreck the tow truck driver said "I got 3 of these at home in the backyard", my friend says "I doubt that, they're pretty rare", he replies "Nahhh...I see them all over the place."....he then continues to crack my rear corner cladding on his truck....retard.

AZtyphoon has a point, a tow truck driver pulled my typhoon by the frame and cracked my cladding too! at the same time he was trying to tell me why they were discontinued, he said people didnt like them because they didn't have hitches to haul around boats and stuff! Come on buddy... anyways, people who talk without knowledge must not understand how much of a fool they look like especially when your telling it to a owner/enthusiast.

You havent heard of it? Its a much better handling vehicle and it broke land speed records.. I seen them myself.............in a dream!!

I saw a GM design show truck called the GMC Tsunami. It was a 600HP AWD Sierra. Came out right around 93-94.

At work a guy with a 91' s10 was like THATS A SYCLONE when I was talking about it?! I told him all about it , and how people think its a twin turbo, or a buick engine all the time.

The next day I see him and hes like " my dad says those are buick gn engines" ... I was thinking to myself I JUST TOLD YOU YESTERDAY THATS A MYTH . Then he has asked me 2 times to sell it because his s10 has 200k miles ( like it was going to be an even swap ) . Too funny. I said ... for $10 k you can get a clean truck with over 100k miles ;) ... the look on his face was like wtf .

People think they are cheap for some reason. I told 3 guys at work I paid "13" for mine , and the rumor started that I paid $1300. lmfao ---
