gnx fender vents ? need help ?

anyone who has the gnx vents on there ty or sy anyone flip them and change the flow direction?
what if you flip the gnx louver so it draws air in the fender on the turbo side, in my setup my filter sit's on top of the wheel well. I am going to see what it looks like- i just wanted to see if anyone thinks this will help draw air into the filter - ther reason I ask is in the pictures i have seen the vent is about 4" from the door sill so being that far back on the fender i am not sure if the air will flow enough for there to be a gain at the filter?

is the normal way drawing air out more gainful for heat disipation under the hood ?

any thoughts ?

not yet i have not added my typhoon to my cardomain site - i am waiting for it to roll out and be ready to go. My truck like many others after 14 years needed some love and it is going great.

my air filter is on the turbo side on top of the wheel well more towards the middle rear of the fender

it looks like it can draw air into the filter ?
not sure if they would be better in the normal direction but i like the idea of a ram air ?

i have a set of louvers in process as well for my hood ?

any idea's anyone ??

If its not a Daily driver then why not just take out the inner fender well?

Simple, undoable, free, and will bring in more air then the gnx style vents.. :dunno:

I decided to flip the gnx vents in on both sides to stay uniform, and they will bring air inside - instead of acting as a vent.

I like the way it looked next too the truck and it will allow a really sweet mod to enclose my filter and allow it to pull air from outside the engine compartment, with a sweet look 2 it.

My truck will be finished in about 3 weeks
and i will get pics 2 show

You won't notice any difference, do what you think looks best. It won't scoop any significant amount of air. The little bit it does, it will be pushing air into your door jams, the pressure from the flowing through the radiator will overwhelm any air flow through those tiny vents. (most likely will find air being pushed out them anyways, no matter which direction you put them in))
