God... Not another TEC question!!!!

before you guys get pissed at me for asking a question that has been covered so many times. i did do a search, and i read everything i could find. but i still have one question. the GMC dealer was all out of the aerosol TEC, so i got the "pour" TEC. in the archive posts people mentioned using a funnel. where the hell would you put the funnel??? i dont really see how you can run the TEC through a funnel and get it to go through the TB blades. someone mentioned the brake booster hose. do i pull the brake booster check valve off and pour the TEC down that hose? and spray carb/intake cleaner in through the TB blades? to clean that shit up?

Pull off the thicker hose going to the brake booster. Pull off the plastic piece attached to the hose at the booster and stick the funnel in the end of it. The TEC will flood the engine when you dump the last 1/3 of the can in.

The simple answer is yes... basically you start up the truck... pull off the brake booster stick a funnel in the hose in it's place.. then use a thin rubber hose to suck out the TEC slowly and into the funnel... be carefull and make sure the hose isn't sucked into the intake in the process... when you only have about 1/3 of the can left, get rid of the extra hose piece and proceed to dump the TEC in as fast as you can... The engine should stall out... now let the TEC do its job... after the time has passed start up the truck and burn out the TEC.. then immediately do an oil change

thanks for the help guys! after using the TEC i didnt really see the huge amounts of smoke like everyone said... guess my engine wasnt that dirty? anyway got the oil changed and did a couple datamaster runs. knock went from 8+ avg to about 3 avg, with a couple spikes to 5.
