Looking for the ground wire that feeds the injectors. Where on the truck does it get its ground from. I want to run a ground from my battery directly to it. thanks.

Re: ground locations.

Thanks but I have that already. What I need to know is where on the engine/truck does the injectors get its ground reference from. I thought by the alternator but I know there are wires behind the driver side below the knock sensor. After replacing the whole fuel systen amd ingnitoin systen my truck still misses when hot. I figure all I have left is the electrical system. When my radio died yesterday all the guages went nuts. I am thinking I still dont have a good ground for my injectors. I dont know what else. If this dont work its going on e-bay and I will get my lingenfelter vette like this one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chev...004QQitemZ140005034824QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW I love my sy but enough is enough. I want to drive the f-ing thing.

Re: ground locations.

here is what I found
The Blazer story
The owner of a Chevrolet Blazer equipped with a 4.3-liter, V-6 engine complained that the engine would stumble and hesitate at times. Everything seemed to be functioning correctly, except that the service technician discovered a weak vacuum going to the EGR valve at idle.

This vehicle was equipped with an EGR valve control solenoid. The computer pulses the solenoid to control the vacuum that regulates the operation of the EGR valve.

The technician checked the service manual for details on how the system worked. The technician discovered that vacuum should be present at the EGR valve only when the gear selector indicates a drive gear (drive, low, reverse).

Because the technician discovered the vacuum at the solenoid to be leaking, the solenoid was obviously defective and required replacement. This solenoid is called an electronic vacuum regulator valve, or EVRV, by General Motors Corporation. After replacement of the solenoid (EVRV), the hesitation problem was solved.

Note: The technician also discovered in the service manual that blower-type exhaust hoses should not be connected to the tailpipe on any vehicle while performing an inspection of the EGR system. The vacuum created by the system could cause false EGR valve operation to occur

Hmmm where in the hell is that at??? Sounds like it could be a cause of some guys problems.

Re: ground locations.

by the last story, i would assume egr solenoid, near the map sensor. maybe you should just delete the egr. this definately will cause the engine to run rough.

Re: ground locations.

delete egr in california??? oh no. LOL

cold the thing idle better then a new BMW. Seriously the Dm holds steady at 750 smooth as a babys bottom. Even with the wbo2 bouncing around (think bad ground) When it gets hot. It misses and idle is everywhere. at night it can run for an hour and nothing. during the hot day it can start missing after 20 min. hotter the wires the more resistance???

Re: ground locations.

the ground is pulsed on and off by the ecm to fire the injector, so it would be the ecm grounds.

also just because there are new parts on the truck, that doesnt mean they are "good". anything out of whack on datamaster?

Re: ground locations.

I just want to know where the grouds are. I guess I will take a wire strait to the block from the battery. I cleaned the egr good when I did my TB. With the phil chip it just sits there. I guess the solenoid could be leaking. But that will cause a bad idle not a miss. It still idles good even with the miss. Just hickups bad.
