I refused to sell it to him because he didnt deserve to own one, he kinda got upset with me but oh well, I want the truck to go to somebody who will take care of it

But, - why is it acceptable for (the late) Boyd Coddington to buy stock (sometimes rare) older cars and gut/modify them with modern bling rims and he is considered a hero.

He's the one that didn't like them. I tend to agree based more on the reliability of the entrance to and egress from the vehicle than anything.

I have nothing against modifing a car, even shaving door handles, but something of this matter is not supposed to be done as far as I am concerned. As for Boyd, when he does it it is tasteful not just some hack doing it in his back yard and it is going to look like shit. When it does they say oh well and throw this piece of history in the trash. Boyd has been doing it for years and knows his shit, if it was boyd that came to you and said he wanted to buy the truck and had these plans for it I would say sure here you go! Thats just my .02

I guess im glad i didnt put caddy lights on my truck, other wise i would be a bad SY owner! Maybe i should put my door handles back on. :tdown: reweld the cab up and take my stereo out too!

And my truck does pass tech at some tracks, not all, but some. Its not a drag race only truck, so passing tech doesnt really matter to me.

To invision your truck, or someone elses, in a different than stock form is not uncommon, most people like to mod their cars/trucks. If i were selling my truck and someone was talking about mod-ing it right off, it wouldnt keep me from selling, by selling you lose all authority over the matter

I clean cut old dude could buy it, give it to his son, that is into 4x4'n and it get lifted with mud tires, no doors, no bed or carpet, anything could happen.

Its your truck so sell it or dont, but not selling based on someone elses fantasy of what they think is bad ass seems silly to me.

you truck was done the right way with quality workmanship the idiot in my driveway though quality was spelled with a K :roll: he would have bought the truck added a manual boost controller and killed it
