Just bought a 93 Typhoon with bad head gaskets, can anyone recommend gasket set/info/manuals recommendation/perf upgrades. Thanks!

Get the head gaskets from the dealer. Its your best bet. You can buy them at an auto parts store. They are specific to the Syclone/Typhoon 4.3 turbo and made by victor.

Oh yeah, gm part number is 14097272. They are sold individually.

Be caucious about blown head gaskets, Our trucks dont typically have a problem with these like other turbo vehicles. More often then not, a blown head gasket is due to heavy detnation and a resulting bent rod.

I would plan to go ahead and go through the engine completely or at least try to get a leak down reading on the "good" cylinders if there are any before you pull the heads... Pull the trans pan too and check for "Stuff" in the pan, or at least service it, check the tansfer case and other fluids as well... Get a big friggin bottle of tylenol, tums and valiums... you may be instore for some fun...
