I believe this is the correct one but call first and make sure this is correct for drag racing. (Different than motorcycle.) I got excellent service from these folks.

Last I checked into it the bike helmets cant legally be used for automotive use since the bike helmet lacks fire retardant stuff. Least thats the way I remember reading it so dont quote me.

Some tracks check some dont...I use a full face bike helmet (didnt know the rules when I bought it) and havent been bothered so far and I hear from other ppl that road courses check your helmet regularly. I dunno since Ive yet to get on a road course but it seems there was a thread about what helmet to use over on the prot-touring forum a while back...might do a quick search there.

Infineon checks. I've seen them accept some, reject others. Might be worth a phone call.

I'm not sure but it seems to me that helmets are only "good" for 5 years. A Snell 2000 helmet may have "expired." Check carefully.

They banned Snell 90 this year and will be banning Snell 95 next year. I have a snell 95 fs that I have used a dozen times :)

You can be quoted on that one, that is correct. From the Snell website:

What are the differences between the SA, M and K standards?
SA Standard was designed for auto racing while M Standard was for motorcycling and other motorsports. There are three major differences between them:
SA standard requires flammability test while the M standard does not;
SA standard allows narrower visual field than M standard (Some SA helmets may not be street legal);
SA standard has rollbar impact test while M standard does not.
The K standards are very similar to the SA standards, however the K standards omit the requirements for flame retardency.

I like that one. So an SA2005 should be good for a while? I will call and check to Don. Thanks.
