do you have a wideband? its hard to tell what afr you have with a narrowband other than o2 mv reading.

If you have a restrictive exhaust sytem you will get more knock retard, like a stock set-up or a baffled muffler instead of a straight through design.
Have you adjusted or changed your wastegate actuator?
Does the wastegate flapper valve move easily & freely?

ok little update...put the stock chip and 2 bar map and knock almost went away....i get maybe 1* at part throttle and like 4-5 at wot. but i am still overboosting BAD. what causes overboost on a stock setup?

then i put the phillip long chip back in with the 3 bar and raised the fp to 50 and it was still knocking at any given throttle....as high as 20 degrees.....

so what now

one more update.....with the stock chip/map and boost solenoid (top of turbo) unplugged to see if i get 8 psi and im still overboosting

think i fixed mine, found the vac elbow under the front of the tb for the evap canister had blown off. fixed it , still some KR but i am 99% sure i can tune it out with fuel pressure adj, wont be able to wrench agail till mon.I KNEW IT WAS SOMETHING STUPID :rant:
brandon--- no wideband funds are VERY limited, but I use a old GM scan tool and o2 mv are very low part throttle, 2-300mv even under boost(fp adj?) and @950-1000 at WOT) which should be ok.Ill check back Mon after some wrenchin during my lunch hour.

did you adjust the wastegate?, your wastegate is what controls boost along with the ecm. the stock wastegate sucks for boost control.

i dont think its the wastegate becasue it was making a perfect 15 psi before i did the motor mounts...now that thats done its overboosting...didnt think i touched the wastegate im hoping its a vac line or something..will have to go out and play with it a little more

ok another update...ran a new vac line straight from the turbo to the wastegate and have 12 psi ......there was a crack in the line so theres the overboost problem...

still got probs. o2 mv still always read 0 while cruising at part throttle. jacked fp up to 50-line off. no change. still got kr around 7-10 at 12lbs even get kr at 5lbs part throttle?WTF. gonna chuck this chip in the trash real soon.(i know it not a wideband but o2 should NEVER read 0mv!)

If your O2 sensor reads zero then you have a bad sensor,faulty wiring, or a bad file that your logging with. The chip shouldnt change the O2 mv you read when scanning.

reads perrrrrrrrrfect with the stock chip/MAP setup, gonna f around with some more adj today........
