Stick your finger through on the R/S of the latch. You should be able to feel the lever that the rod is attached to. Push it and the gate should open. Its kinda hard to do. I had to do that with mine when I had the cylinder removed when I got it painted.

the glass is open just crawl through the hole or do you need help opening the gate? long flat head is your friend use it to "push" the rod

sweet GM engineering on those rear latchs, the lever bends to easy, i got a brand new GM one had it rekeyed and put it in.... (back when i was in high school) the same day some F***tard wrenched on it trying to open it and broke it. there was 50+ down the drain

Arent you the guy that put an LS based motor in your Sy? You gotta be quite mechanically inclined to pull that off. Don't mean to offend just like to look at the humor in things.

No LS swap for this one. I don't really want to spend another 2-3 months doing that again. The ty needs a ton(understatement) of body work. I picked it up off my dad and decided to save it. A telephone pole fell on it

Sounds like another fun project. Do you plan on putting it back to stock, body wise, or doing anything custom to it?
