hesitant after stop

after everytime getting a red light or stop sign i get ready to go give it some gas and its doenst want to go so i give it more and then it goes...it just hesitates after every stop what could the problem be?

Could be a lot of things. Is your truck completely stock?

Oh yeah Swede did you put your fuel pressure back to 50 psi and see how the driveability was? Hopefully soon I can get everything moved and get the new garage set up.

Tomorrow i'm going to put some C-16 in my empty tank and see what happens with spark knock, hehehe got 2 55 gallon drums at work $7/gallon. I'm also turning my fp up to 50 from 47psi.

check brakes and such. had a similar problem with my sy a while ago. seemed like the parking brake was stuck on. might have something in the lines that's keeping a little pressure on the pads after a stop and they slowly bleed down until there's no more grab in 'em.

On my truck it's a engine problem, nothing to do with the brakes. Thanks for suggestion.

the same with me, its not a brake problem it sorta seems like it wants to stall or like its bogging until i give it some more gas

its definatly a problem with your iac motor. get some b12 chemtool carb cleaner and spray it down the throttle body slot where the air bypass whole is. your problem is you iac valve is dirty and is sticking. had the same problem, cleaning the iac fixed it. good luck

The throttle shaft can bind in the bore. It feels like you're giving it gas, but the throttle is bound up. Push a little harder and it goes. The throttle body has to have bushings put in to correct the problem.

Check the rest of the linkage for binding also.

Thanks, but no binding in my throttle linkage or shaft. I do have some more info now.

Last night i was driving around like an old, old grandma. I meen toke it slow from stoplights never got it to boost and i could not dublicate my hesitation, i thought it was from the C-16 i put in the truck last night and was going wtf is my problem fixed now?

Yeah right, boy was i wrong. As soon as i got on it and started to get in to boost and pushing it between redlights the hesisation came back. It's more or less taking off from a stoplight, but only when starting from sitting on idle for a while, the longer i sit at a stoplight the more chance i have of dubicating the problem a very short stop, wont do it.

my problem is pretty much whenever i stop even without boosting the entire time but when i do boost it gets more hessitant
