Hey Guys, hows this deal?

Well this is my first post, but i have been lurking for EVER. I found a ty on ebay that seems like a good deal, but I wanted to get some opinions ( cant post in the ebay forum yet, not sure why?)

I know it has ended but the seller sent me a second chance offer of 7K. What do you think? I have emailed a few questions but any you guys can think of would be helpful.

Sounds like a scam to me. He had a 10K reserve an dall of the sudden he wants to give 3K off?

Usually, second chances mentioning e-bay are scams anyway. If you really want to mess w/ the guy, ask him to take some more pics of odd things on the truck like the #5 sparkplug hole. If it's a scam you will get no response as the scammer doesn't have access to the truck to take such a pic.

SCAM Even though the reserve price wasn't met, the bidding went up to $8,600. Use some common sense here. The seller is going to turn down the higher bidder who bid $8,600 so he can "sell" it to you for $7K??? If you have any doubts, talk to "T-Bone" (<--- that is a link to his profile BTW) since he was the high bidder and get the skinny.

Huh, I didnt even think that it could be a scam but I guess you are right. I will email him for some more pics and strange pics. I did think it was weird that he had it that high but i figure maybe he needs to get rid of it, and 7k was my highest bid.

Yeah i know, i just figured maybe the other bidders turned down the second chance offer, i know when i sell stuff i will send out a second chance to multiple people until its sold. Ohh well, I will just keep looking :tup:

I totally agree. I did that. Went to go see trucks that were on ebay and on autotrader and there was always issues. Became a member on this forum and i bought a great truck no regrets at all.

I bought my Ty on Ebay. 1993 w/ 81k. Looked great in the pics, looks pretty good in person. It has some SyTy issues like the starter click, and it needed a fuel pump bad, but ran fine. I bought it for 10k, flew to LA and drove it home. Three weeks ago the alternator went out. Other than the Alt and replacing the fuel pump, its been zero maintenance. Oh yeah, I did replace all fluids, spark plugs,cap and rotor. It now has 85k on the clock and all is well.

I am happy with my deal, but I have seen better.

this is local truck by me. when i first saw it about three weeks ago it was price at 13,500. ill drive by and see if its still there.

That's kind of what I did with mine. It was on autotrader and here. Several members here offered to check it out in Detroit. A few were even interested in buying it.

Yup still there. just a diffrent parking spot. has a for sale sign priced at 9900 now. in all honesty i think truck looks pretty decent. i dunno about the drivetrain but the paint looks good. for the price i think its a fair deal
