Adams truck is looking good as always. Nice to see you added the second race seat, I'm sure people were tired of floping around on the stock pasenger seat when riding around in it.

Did you end up going IRS or no? How about that trans? 6L80e was it that you were shooting for?

Sorry we did not stop by on our way through Reno, we were already getting home past midnight, and I didn't want it to be any later.

I need throttle response more than top end for what I do with the truck right now.

You seen the pics of the 3 link rear suspension right? 6l80E is in the works, although Brian Hartman feels the transmission is nowhere near the strength of a 4l80E. Brian rebuilt my HHP racing trans and it's working for now.

Seems like typical gm fasion, put the 6l80e name tag on it, as we don't want people to think the hd truck trans is better. I think that once you get to a certian power level the 4 gears may be better. If you went m/t 6 speed you may spend too much time inbetween gears shifting around. (and blowing shit up. AWD turbo is very rough on m/t's)

At what point to do you ditch the 4.3l v6 to get something with more displacment & the added throttle response?

I'm going to stick with the 4.3 for now and the Sy will always remain in a GM v6 configuration no matter what even if it costs more to build hp from a v6.

The tranny is the big enigma in these trucks.
