I'd get her insurance info and file a claim ASAP.

#1 you don't want it on YOUR insurance, even though it isn't your fault.

Everytime me or someone I know has tried to be "NICE" and work with the person, you get screwed somehow.

Insurance is there for a reason, don't try to be Mr. Nice guy, as it is obvious she isn't Mrs. Nice anyways by not telling you.

It is up to body shop/insurance to get the pieces. Now we all know they will struggle to find it.

But I have known of friends that have them for sale for $500+ if you know what I mean.

BTW I hate insurance companies with a pasion. Hardman JUST friday got approval to get his fixed after it got vandalized, well he got verbal scott is still waiting official word. ~5wks later, probably 5 more to do the work. Glad he gets to borrows cars for that long.

i wouldnt worry about the carfax,udgin by the way u talk about your truck it isnt goin anywhere for a long long time....carfax only hurts if u go to sell it....get it done right and make her pay...possible jailtime for hit and tun also plus insurance my drop her ass after this...so her sister said she hit an suv not a truck?

Thanks guys...giving my truck a quick wash in about 15 min, then heading down the street to get quotes. I plan on getting 3 ( luckily there are 3 PDR places within 5 miles of each other).

Yeah, she told her sister she hit a black SUV , and her sister "looked for it" in the lot but didnt see one ( why she didnt look at the ONLY black vehicle in the lot is beyond me....maybe the "reward" enticed her to nark out her sister? ) ---

Personally I would call the police ( but I guess I wouldn't care if there was a mark on the trucks record ) she deserves some sevre punishment for you having to track her down.

IIRC hit & run is a felony!

I know.... my Dad is telling me to do the same thing. I was under the impression that an officer wouldnt show up to a single person accident, but it wouldnt hurt to try. Thanks for the advice, I honestly dont know why my first thought was to "work with her" ... when she was trying to get away. I guess I was just so happy to find her I wasnt thinking clearly. ---

I agree, you should see the back of her car. It was a black car, and BOTH sides are nothing but scratch marks down the bumper to the fender .... it was a 1996 2 Door Accord just like I thought!!! I havent been her first victim for sure ---

I just got back from getting TWO $1300 estimates .... I am glad I dont have to pay for this myself. So far the bitch hasnt called me back for her account number and insurance name !!! ---

Bring it to the shop of your choice. Let them know that the parts are discontinued (Cladding, probably stickers) and have them reimburse you for the cost. Most likely they won't be able ot find the parts anyways.

OK, UPDATE!!!

* The body shop wanted to try for a week to get the parts...well guess what NO LUCK, lol. Now he wants me to get the parts and he will reimburst me.

So far I have a hookup on here for the left rear cladding, and I can get the tail lights on Ebay again.

Who is making SYCLONE decal sets right now? There used to be someone on Ebay, then someone on HERE that was ripping everyone off the last I was in the market.

ALSO .... is the rear tailgate/handle SY specific or can THEY just get any s10 replacement and paint it up? Where can I get the "do not exceed 500lbs" warning PAS sticker? Any other replacement parts I should worry about ... I think there is some "grippy tape" on the top of the tailgate....is that SY specific (I can get pics if needed) ---

Also the original company that made them still has them.. I bought a set off them a few years back before I painted my truck orange. I forget their name but maybe someone (Ken?) can chime in.
