hood stuck

i pulled the hood release and im pretty sure the linkage broke. my hood is stuck shut and i was wondering if anyone has had this problem or knows how to solve it

To get the hood open, you can take a screwdriver and (from the right angle) push the hood release lever that the cable pulls on. Sad that our trucks' engine bay can be broken into so easily (though they do make a cover to prevent this).

I put a giant zip tie around that same piece just in case mine ever fails. It's a fail safe/cheap trick I learned from the zr1 forums since c4 hoods/cables have this issue often!

I have one of those Hood Safety plates. Im reluctant to put it on due to if the cable does break and you have the plate on there, then your really F'd.....

AHH this actually happen to me yesterday, tacked a little washer to the end of the cable, hope it olds for now.

I've used a coathanger before when the stopper on the cable came off.
