Anyone have any rough guestimate either from reading of experience, how much power a stock Ty transfer case, transmission, or rear end can handle?

I know the trans cant handle very much power at all.... how about the AWD and rear end?

Thanks!

The TTv8 syclone that went 9.55 in high altitude was running a stock rear end and a stock transfer case.

That is a pretty hard question to answer as there doesn't seem to be a common ground.

i think robert is still using the stock tcase. there is at least one truck running 9 flat on the stock tcase, stock front and rear end; but that is on street tires.

You should be safe at 280-300 HP.

Hmmm... My planning on doing a little rebuild on my LT1 and with the rebuild, exhuast, tuning, cam, ported and polished heads/intake, ignition, etc I would hope for about 350hp... then maybe throw on a 100 shot of NOS for kicks. hehe

Just not sure if the 4472 and rearend would hold up and if so for how long.
