Yeah, the Talon totally jumped. Left the line before the arms dropped. It's funny to see how their crew is hootin' and hollerin' about how great they are :blah: but no one seemed to fess up that they jumped :roll:

When you win in a street race by the amount he one by I am sure the other guy doesnt ask for a re race :tup:
and as dean said if you chase its a race coming from a seasoned vet

but I dont think it is that fast sorry camaro was probably junk if you have ever seen a relativly fast f-body that was not one

I didn't hear a 2 step, or any type of anti lag system, so its either auto or he's not the typical DSM'er willing to blow up the center diff taking people out on the launch.

Any info on what size turbo he's running (16g, 20g, big garrett, ect?) or other mods? Stock 2.0l or 2.4 stroker would also be nice to know.

Not trying to open a can of worms, but if you don't street race (not stoplight racing) you should not post. It is evident as to who is in over their head. You guys are the prime targets and I would LOVE to work out a race with you guys.... its a stock car, i swear.

Silly, you have to get the hustle right.

Its a stock motor with just rods and pistons, but while we were there we did valves and springs. But honestly its a stock motor. - FL streetracer at world street challenge 2 weeks ago

The poser post are the ones who are talking about losing their cars on pinks because someone cracked early.

I stick to what I know, obviously, you don't.

I know the car in question. I know the group in question. Alot more than can be said for you, or anyone else who has posted.

You are so correct on blowing the center diff. In my big 16g 300+hp DSM I first broke a rear axel which also blew the center dif. Upgraded the rear to a 4 bolt and then proceded to break a front axle, and another center diff... That sucked...

I also listened for a stutter box and could not hear one. I enjoyed my stutter box and NLTS but maybe that helped me blow all the parts. Talon's are definately fun cars but way too many are junk...

Not sure where in my post I said I was planning to run them. The 1 thing I have never done is street race. Sometimes I wish I did, other days I am glad my driving record is clean and I am still alive. Also never lost any money street racing. Of course never won any either.

Was just curious is all.

Try leaving your house, go get your truck, do some of the work on it yourself, run the Talon, and maybe then you can give peeps advice on what is what...

I'm not sure about this car because I haven't payed attention to those kinds of cars in years but I wanna say I believe silly that this is one fast car. Mainly because of where he lives, I know of AMS and I know they build some wicked street race dsm' cars so I wouldn't doubt this is one of them.
They tried to get my buddy to street race with them but it would have taken too much to make his car "look the part" rather than a "race car"
Back 2001 or so I met a bunch of those guys and they had a vr4 galant at the track running low 10's with a blown head gasket, total sleeper couldn't see cage from outside, stock wheels etc.

Darrin Pape the guy we bought my dads ty off of last to these guys a couple times when the ty was an 11.7 truck.

If I was a dsm or evo person I know the group I would be around to make it real fast.

Good luck if anyone is gonna try this car out.
