i am looking to see how low you can go in the front retaining the front axles and a decent or semi decent ride.

the truck is currently 2wd and has a 5in. front 6in. rear drop.
but after going AWD i'm pretty sure i won't be able to get it back to that low but how low can i go?

Does belltech only make a 3in. key?

pics would also be a great help

3" blocks in back, torsion key bolts removed.

as far as a "good" ride...it has about 5/8" travel in the rear before it hits the bump stops. So it rides great as long as you avoid any bumps, cracks, small bugs, twigs, potholes, manholes, leaves that may be in the road.

And the painted lines in the road :rotf:

the 3" bell tech is more like 2.5" but I have a spare set if you are interested in trying them out.

There are no other keys or spindles available for the stock suspension.

if you want to get lower you have to go coilovers.

even with coil-overs it isn't advisable to go much lower than removing the stock porkchops nets you.

I would be happy with the way it sits off the Jack Stands!

truck rides nice this way. 2" drop rear flexaforms and coilovers up front around 2.5" drop. I have no front bumpstops currently, and the rears are cut down, so I don't have too many issues with hitting. Reaaaal stiff ride, though.... doesn't like the bumps

I can adjust my shocks to be on the bumpstops if you want? That is after removing jackstands and some assembly required.

2" front 3-4" rear is most I would suggest without a large ride sacrifice. Bump stops come into play even at those heights, next would be cladding stops depending on rims.

The lower the better but this is not bad at all

True story. Both my front fender cladding pieces have part of the underside of the arch missing, as I originally had 3" drop in front and I was hitting them even in turns. Bad news that

Re: how low have you gotten you truck? pics?

i kept looking at how high the donor blazer sat and kept thinking if my truck sat that high and could only come down 3in.......well that would REALLY suck. but you guys seem to have gotten them down in the weeds. guess it just must sit high? no real weight has been taken off the front end

thats quite a gap! stupid stock lifted looking truck,

Im riding on stock torsion bars cranked down in the front, and beltech's + 2inch blocks in the rear
rear rides good with some qa1 adjustable shocks, but think ill need to do coilovers in the front to get it to ride descent at this height..

thats a good looking pic to:tup::tup:! CLEAN CLEAN

how spendy are those rear QA1's? thats weird i run adjustable coilovers in my honda's but you guys run them with the leafs as well? strange but cool nonetheless

are those gunmetal or bronze C6 Z06'S?

WOW i like how clean it looks with the fully clear windows, normally i don't like it like that but......that looks good.

kinda makes me wanna go black or dark gray with the truck instead of back to red

The cladding takes up about 2" of the wheel openings. Factory syty ride height is 28" +/- .5" from the ground to the bottom wheel cladding with 25.6 inch tire (this would look like 30" with a 25.6" tire on your pictured 4wd drive truck)

My truck sits at 27" in the front. The lowest I would feel comfortable putting my truck is 26.5" (if I had to guess that it about what jjorgensen52 rides height). At that right height my bumps stops would almost be in contact most of the time with my coilovers and tubular a-arms. I would have to cut down my bumps stop at that ride height, but I would have to be careful not to go too low to make sure so the wheels wouldn't hit the cladding. If

Just after install coilover up front and 20 miles test drive on highway, that was biggest improvement I had experienced with my truck ever, completely different ride than stock, feels like the truck was on railroad on highway.
Rear is Belltech's lowered leaf & 1" block.

Adjusted and lifted a little front.

You're right on Dave  . My truck sits at 26.5" to the cladding in front. As I said before, I don't have bump stops up front, since the truck was hitting them quite a bit. I haven't gotten cut down models to install yet. I have managed to bottom the truck out once on a speedbump at this height, but I've yet to hit the a-arms on the frame (fortunately, the tires hit the inner fenders first ;) )

Re: how low have you gotten you truck? pics?

I never measured mine but I have 2" drop leaf springs with a 1" drop block and set back plates, front is just the torsion bars turned down. Eventually want to go with coil over front suspension.

im not running a full coilover in the rear, its just the Qa1 adjustable shocks, they work great, no bottoming out even with the belltechs and 2 inch blocks
and the wheels are hyper black :)
