NHSTE - I'm the only one!
So, the SGT has no radio in it. And I am wondering, when I get around to putting one in it, do I want 1 cd, or 6? In case you are wondering, I am a little bit nutty about keeping GM radios in my trucks...

When I drive it tends to be for a while at a time.
I have one truck with a 10 disc changer and one truck with 1 disc. I can't really decide which I like better. I do like the reliability of the single disc though

buy an aftermarket head unit with ability to connect to an ipod, and never look back at cds.

i just hooked up a mp3 player in my winter beater. cool part is i hooked a back up camera. so i can still use it and hear music. its so nice to go from 100 cd's to nothing with a mp3 player

Got a single disc in one truck, and a 6 disc in the other.
The single disc is an Alpine that reads MP3's. Trips from Louisville to Atlanta are a one CD, never hear the same song twice event. Didn't think I'd like it, but it's easily head and shoulders above the 6disc in the '04. The 6disc is nice, but the music doesn't last nearly as long without fiddling with CD's

The 10 disc in my Ty is MP3 capable but I haven't burned anything for it yet. I'm tempted to put in a hookup for the MP3 player, but at the same time I don't really like having it sitting in the truck all the time.2kwik4u said:

i bought my alpine head unit off of the board for $150shipped, bought a ipod interface with charging capability for $50shipped, 30GB ipod video for $250. i will have 3000songs at the touch of my hand. only $400 into entire setup, screw cd changers.

use ONE disc and make sure it plays Mp3's
You can easily fit 6 discs of music on one Mp3 disc.
Now, if you pick and choose the songs you like from a
collection of discs, I bet you can get most of what you
listen to on one disc. They hold from 125-200 songs each!
