How many of us use our SY/TY as a Daily Driver?

Hello folks! Real curious how many of us actually drive our Sy/Ty's as an everyday driver?? I drive my Ty each and everyday and even in the snow. Its been somewhat reliable except for an erratic idle here and there. Im still chasin' it down. Whats your story? Thanks.

I used my Sy (136K on the odo) as a dd for quite awhile, until I added a new Corolla for the gas mileage. It never stranded me on my 30-mile commute, but it happened for the first time en route to this year's GAST/FAST meet when the water pump fan bearing let loose.

I used to daily drive my sy for a few years. Now that I have a company vehicle. I've driven it less than 10 miles in the last year.

I share DD duty between the Syclone and my Silverado, but only living 6 miles from work makes it hard to rack up more 3k miles a year even when driven a lot. I've only put about 25k miles on the truck since I bought it almost 10 years ago, and I've driven it 80% of the time that I drive.

I wish I could drive my typhoon as a dd. With the price of gas it’s just not happening. Plus I have 2 other vehicles I share the dd duty with so the ty can come out on nice days.:tup:

I'm doing it right now on a temporary basis (dd at the body shop for a few weeks), but I don't have good enough luck with it to use it full time. Also, the crap gas milage and extra cost for premium really add up in a short time.

I drove mine as a DD for 4 years. It broke several times, but the worst was when my wife called and said she was taking my 5 yr old son to the ER after he got a nasty cut on his face from a falling shampoo bottle in the tub. No more than 2 minutes later the Sy threw a rod out the oil pan. I really hated my truck that day and almost burned it. Now it sits in the garage all winter, especially after I had the body repaired and repainted.

most of the time I use mine, when ever my wife needs her car which is almost everyday, and my tranny is still FUBAR'ed no rev,n, or park lol but it still drives.

6 years daily driven.......no breakage.Well...one prop shaft at 85k. I just did the ball joints and a-arm bushings w/eurothane...at 91k.

daily driven mine now for about a month planning on the next 4 years. then tear it down and redo the whole thing, does that count?

i did for over a year till i popped a piston but it will be back in service as soon as i'm finished w/ rebuild and tuning my fast system

DD for a little more than three years. Nearly 70K in those three years. I run winter tires for the snow.

mine is a dd in the summer. that count?
even then it splits duty with the HD.

120 miles a day 6 days a week. Has went 12.8x's

No 1/4 yet but, I DD it everyday 60miles round trip. I have a co worker with a sy that also DD's it. No problems yet. Runs great!
