They're just jerking your chain a bit. Do some reading on here - raising the boost without knowing what you are doing is about the fastest way to break expensive things. Learning how to use Datamaster will let you see how your particular truck handles boost - they're all different.
Just that mean once or twice before pieces were left all over the highway?

Yeah it gathers info from the truck's ecm and sensors

Well, the truck still runs and will be making the trip to nationals. But we didn't do that overnight and surely didn't use a KB chip, was done with custom tuning.:tup:
come to the nats, we can show everybody first hand. :lol:

I know I saw 28psi on Hardmans truck just before getting out of the gas, and I think I'm the one that caused the ring land to break.....Stock bottom end with a PT52, and right foot boost control ....Sorry Mike
In other more thread related info, I still think I've seen someone running 28 on a stock turbo. I can't remember whom it was though. It's super way out of it's effeciency range, but with enough meth and a huge intercooler it's doable

To answer the original posters question with what I believe he was trying to get at:
Typically 14-16 PSI on 93 octane pump gas. I could barely do 14 PSI on my truck with no knock, but I have heard of others who were lucky enough to run 16 PSI without detonation.
If you add a high octane mixture via alcohol injection or race fuel, that's another topic altogether.
