Need to replace the front tires due to poor allignment.. was wondering if I could get away with just replacing the front with two new tires I that I have taking up space or would I have to replace all four at once? I ask because I remember seeing tons of post back in the day about difference in od sizes would frag t cases.. would the difference in size on my warn tires (rear) vs the new tires (front) be enough to cause concern ???

thanks

Re: how much of a dif in od size can the tcase handle?

I've heard of people running 18s in the rear with 45-height aspect ratio and 17s in the front with 50-height aspect ratio, and the difference was so little that the t-case didnt really care. As long is it isnt some huge amount (over 1/4" I would guess) you should be fine. If the rear tires are pretty shot and you put new ones on the front, you might have issues, but then again you might not.:2cents:

Seems like that would be best stated in percentage, say measure the rollout of each and calculate the percentage of difference in circumference. Tire height is kind of subjective and not that accurate. Just a suggestion.....

zero. there was a post on here not that long ago about this and the guy blew his case. dont try it. if you have to run different tire sizes remove the propshaft till you can get them the same.

If they are the same size tire you should be fine, but, listen to what those guys say, dont go crazy with the cheese wiz.

Hell even with the same set of tires all around you have to run like 44psi up front and 28 out back to get them to be the same rolling diameter.
