If you're strapped for cash then what Dave said can save you a HUGE amount of money. Be prepared to be in debt to your bud that does the job though as doing an all over is a HUGE amount of work. Be prepared to wait a while too since its a friend deal and he isn't motivated by cash/expenses like a shop would be. Just be patient if you go this route.
Best thing to do is start asking locals who they know that paints.
Luckily a fellow SyTy owner here has a brother that paints.
Same deal, he's doing it on the side in his garage.
I do the prep sanding, he oversees it, tells me what I'm doing right and wrong.
He sprays the materials I bought for free.
I help him and his brother turn wrenches in return.
And we all have a pretty good time just hanging out bullshittin'.
However, It will be about 8 weeks start to finish doin it on the side.
I took it off I'm putting it back on.
Total cost to date: $600 in DuPonts finest materials
