How to buy a Typhoon

Well this maybe premature here, but I am going to be in the market in April of this year to purchase a Typhoon. Could maybe some of you more expereinced guys give me a "What to look for" & "Where to look" guide on purchasing a Typhoon?

It's never too early to look, or to learn what to look for. I started looking in January/February of 98, and ended up buying mine in October of 98.

Meet up with someone in your area so that they can go with you and check them out, bring a laptop and do a diacom/datamaster run.

You will learn what to look for, and hopefully you will find a great ride that hasn't been beat to death.

I bought the first one I drove.. :fadein: ......


But also had a typhoon owner there with me, and we checked out the last 4 of the vin# with the local owners. I got to speak with the prev owner, on the phone about the truck, since it was on a car lot.

This is true, if you've never been in one. You will have nothing to compare it to.




Best thing you can do is find another syty owner in your area, or in the area you find one for sale and see if they can check it out.

I'd be really hesistant to buy one with mods on it, without having a syty'r look it over first.

I bought one 1600 miles away without driving it or even seeing it. Needless to say i was a little worried but Christina haaaad to have a blue one...women..geesh. I did have another BB member that lived in the area check it out for me....i still owe him big time.
