how to hook up a light on aquamist

i used the simple diagram from the aquamist website to hook up a little led so i know when the aquamist turns on. but doesnt work. just used and led i bought from kragen, has one postive and a ground terminal from the back to light up. checked it off the battery and the light works. with the led hooked up to the 2 wires that go to the solenoid that arms the system neither will work. so what am i doing wrong?

Wish I could answer your ?... but I am interested in doing the same thing... that's what sux about aquamist is that you dont know when it's coming on. 10 psi is where i beleive it came set at. From the back of your led, where do u run the pos. wire to the aquamist? Or which wire do u splice into? Thanx.

from the aquamit site is just says to run a wire from the black and gray wires that go to the hobbs switch. i did exactly that but no go....
