Just to redeem myself, I pulled the bed off the Sy last night and changed the Fuel pump (Walbro 255). No hole cutting or other less than adequate routes taken. I thank you all for your help and sarcasm! :D

It is so much fun I wonder why I don't pull the bed every few months to wax the back of the cab. Now a Ty on the other hand............. :fist:

race or get outta the way
yeah like he said.

if ya cut the hole you can then take the piece you removed and make it look like something important.

Whereas just pulling the bed you still got somethin that still looks like the same old bed when your done.

If i were you i would go cut the bed anyway, put some zues fasteners on it. and then everyone will think you hide you nos under the panel or something.

Ed,

Let me get my Sy done and painted and then I'll stop by your shop. I want to tint the rear and side windows and perhaps add a security system....among other things.

Thanks!

Vince,

I wish ya would've told me you were wanting to remove a bed as there would have been a FREE 307 in it for you!! Ya just would've had to yank my bed and swap out my pump for a BIGGER one (or Double Pumper  )! Hell, mine only has about 1K on it and I'd be willing to let you take it (cuz I'm such a nice guy)!

Umm, Nope.

The only body shop I have any real experience with it Souderton Auto Body on Hatfield/Souderton Pike. I have a '78 Ford Granada 'beater' which they did some work on and painted about 5 years back. Cheap Job - $700 - but IMO great work for the $$$. These days, the car needs it again... :(
