Like I said, a few SyTy's in a field...very believable but that isn't a Callaway and that isn't a GNX. Very thankful they aren't as well and kudo's to you for going back out there exactly as you said and posting pictures when you promised. You gained my respect, but no T-Bone steak dinner at my expense . I hate to see Syclones sitting and rotting away like that but it is his property to do with as he wishes.....


PS - a vin on the vette or the buick will answer all questions OR popping the hood, but the hood release cables would probably snap when engaged.

its a ****ing callaway vette man I'm not tryin to get in trouble because of people not believing me sorry... once I found out there was only 547 gnx's I was pretty sure there wouldn't be one out there, my friend and dad rode in that vette its a callaway, it doesn't have the spoiler but has bbs rims gfx and twin turbos under the hood I've seen them when he used to drive the damn thing...

I mean, I dunno...different strokes for different folks...

Is he planning on restoring them? Fixing them up?

It's not like they are all bad ass vehicles either. A dodge Caravan. What appears to be an Escort. An old chevy truck. Does he just buy cars and line them up just for the hell of it?

I would say that you definitely deserve the “donating member” status as well as all the apologies. Kudos to you for sticking to your guns and backing it all up. Kudos for those who have the integrity to admit when they were wrong for bashing. The ongoing, consistent negativity was the reason that I quit coming to this site for months but it is good to see that Sy/Ty/Sgt brothers can get along again. :tup:

It's cool my man....we all say things in frustration we would be better off not saying. I'd be peeved if someone questioned me as well on what I am sure I saw.

Here's some facts for thought though on the vette:

The CHMSL atop the rear glass indicates this car is a 1986. Reeves Callaway's shop in Old Lyme, Connecticut did NOT offer a Twin Turbo upgrade until 1987. It looks like a clone to me because it is missing the badging and the body kit BUT stranger things have surfaced before.

If the owner thinks he has a malboro Sy and a GNX, I am betting he has a run of the mill C4. If you have personally seen twin turbo's under the hood, it is possible someone monkeyed with the other Callaway identifiers and added a CHMSL.

Either way, I don't want anything the man has...it's all junk but again, kudo's to you for your effort and follow through!!!

The window being broken and rust so bad it looks like a vinyl top put a lump in my throat, and seeing those sy's just wasting away really upsets me...I talked to they guy today and he won't sell the one I wanted what a ****ing dipshit...

I just think it would make anyone sick to think about those cars sitting out in a field. Who would really wanna believe that even if it was true. You made a great rare find. If that is a real callaway im gonna go steal it haha

It does have the callaway body kit, can't see it in the pics but its there the front lip is missing cause its had a real rough life... Idk it may be a clone or what it is but I have personally seen the twin turbo set up on it, looks professional but you never know...
