i really do hate these trucks. i thought everything was done on the new engine install on the sy did the break in came out today to do the oil change and add some trans fluid and when i changed the oil it looked dark. so i finished under the truck and went back up top to add fresh oil and saw milky looking crap in the fill tube. so i checked the rad cap and saw it was low enough i could not see anything in the rad. so after i finally get done i know have to pull the intake check that put it back together and see if that fixes it and if not pull the heads and do the intakes a 2nd time. i have not even taken out of the garage yet. still 0 miles since nov 07.

doing most of it my self this time since i had no luck taking it out to others to do. just had the long block done by someone else so i am guessing it is the intake since i did that and was rushing to get it done at that time.

What heads are on the truck.

If vortecs did you weld below the coolant crossover and at the rear to seal against the waterports properly?

ill have to look it was a felpro big box had all the gaskets in it. came with head gaskets, intakes, tb, and valve cover gaskets

felpro headgaskets...i have a syclone with those...ran verry strong, untill i blew the headgasket and found felpro's in those too

Dont worry, the Ty has been biting me too. Finally got the oil filter lines and gaskets fixed (after a week), and then I find that my crossover is broken before the orange flexpipe, thanks to the idiots overtightening the hoseclamp. Black Gorilla Tape will save the day till I can relocate the battery and put an elbow on.
