Is this for a sy or a ty, I relocated my bat on the sy and spent about $50, I went to my local stereo shop and bought 20 feet of heavy cable (the stuff they use to power the big power amps), then bought a battery box from Autozone for $9, installed the bat box in the bed, drilled some holes installed some gromets and ran the positive cable to the starter where the original bat cable was and ran the ground cable to one of the starter bolts. "viola" relocated battery.

I've had the KB kit since about '93 when I installed my KB air2air I/C. It worked out well I think. The biggest problem I can see about this is it is kind of a PITA to get to the battery (mounted in front of right rear tire). Personally, I don't care to drill holes in my bed so this was just about my only option.

The KB kit works great. The only trouble I have had is at the track. With a relocated battery, New England Dragway wants a quick disconnect installed so that they can kill the battery if there is a problem. So far they haven't sent me home but I'm sure sooner or later they will. I refuse to drill a hole in the body to mount a switch that I only need for the track. My solutions is a G-Tech and a quiet, dead street!
