But dont know how I should make it look.

I went to my local once a month car show here in town and I felt like, even though I knew a few people. No one else knew what my truck was (oh! say it isnt so!! )

SO, if any of you guys have something like this that you've pot together for when you go to a show, I'd like to see it to get some ideas please.

I was going to put my poster out there but now I am intimidated.

These are GREAT!

If I promise to not show my truck in your area of the country, can I use these (with my truck changes)?

Did you just use 8 1/2" x 11" paper for those and put them on a poster board? Or are those 3 all poster size Morgan?

Thats about what I'd like to do. But I dont know how to do those pic effects and stuff.

I built my crappy poster (that I won't show now) like a web page and saved the whole thing as a jpg.

It will let you put in pictures and text of all colors and sizes.

And I have a 48 inch inkjet plotter at work.

Come on Bill. I wanna see it, I dont care what the other guys say. I want idea's. You might have somethign that gives me another idea. ;)

I have access to printers and plotters of all sorts as well. But I dont know if my old mans work will let him do it. Plus I'd probably have to convert it to one of their files unless they will let me do .jpg. :dunno:

ummmmmmmm, no, I have a wide format printer, so most of my big stuff goes on 11"x17" paper or bigger if I happen to have the paper.

The first one I did was paper mounted on corrigated plastic. I cant remember the exact dimentions, but If I was to guess, Id say it was 13" x 17"

The 2nd and 3rd versions still used 11" x 17" paper, but it was spray mounted onto a sheet of 1/8" white plexiglas, then covered with a sheet of 1/8" clear plexiglas and fastened together using allenhead socket bolts from the front sprocket of a mountain bike. (I used to work at a bike shop, so I have tons as weird ass parts around, )
It measures a total of 17" x 25".

Man, I recently put the Ty in a local show and since I didn't have a poster like Morgan's, I took the C&D Road Test article and laminated it to display alongside the Ty. Had quite a few peeps stop and read thru the whole thing. It was funny to watch, cause most of them were older guys and their eyes/expressions would change back and forth from confusion to impressed. Hilarious....

I'll have to put my photoshop skills to the test and see if I can come up with something slick for future shows. Maybe have it printed at a local print shop or something.

Morgan, is a .jpg the only format you have of your poster images?

I usually have my line-boards made by a graphics/sign guy.
Most of the time they are colored plexiglass or plastic about 1/4" thick with vinyl lettering in various fonts.
I try to keep the overall colors to go with the paint scheme of the vehicle.
Listing the owner, year and model along with mods grouped together in main categories along with a "thanks to" area at the bottom for people that helped out or sponsors. I usually place it on a tripod or eisel. I also have scaled down paper versions of the signs to hand out.
My one truck made the cover of Chevy Truck and was featured in Truckin' so I had boards made up with the articles and display those also.

Samples of displays are the top 2 pics on my site HERE
