I was told by a retired gm mechanic who ows syty's - TTA- GNs' that if you replace it, YOU MUST get the OEM from GM with the letter (E) stamped in the middle of the female connectors.
If it does not have an (E) It will give false values and won't respond the same to voltage as the old one.
Anyone here heard the same? what's stamped on yours?
