Come on man, fill us in... You go from a stock turbo to the 52? What else is on the truck? Times man times!
Did you have much KR before you bolted up the 52?

yes i had a stock turbo. and it REALLY sucked with my combination. i have a mccoy motor, air to air, ATR headers, PTE52, ATR catback, 50lb injectors, and BG's 50lb heads and cam chip. i have a little more lag than id like, since i have a stock converter, but its still loads of fun. if your on a stock motor, id probably go with the PT51, or PT44. i didnt have any KR before or after the turbo install. i like it when its at zero. i mixed 93 and 100 octane when i was trying to dial in the wastgate, just to be safe from overboost. so far ive hit as high as 18.5lbs on a T2 setting (open loop) with no KR. at 18lbs i thought it was gonna get away from me :smile: i still wanna try out the dump, to see if it will kill the lag. and im still trying to figure out why the wastgate allows the boost to fluctuate ~1.2lbs. not to happy about that. but im still tuning. ive got it set to open at 16lbs right now. and its tons of fun. i love the whine/whistle, and the crazy flutter this turbo makeswhen i let off the gas. its like beautiful, loud, music. i dont have any times with the turbo yet since i just finished up the install yesterday (thanks to myclone, sigo, and marshall), but i will next week :smile: i think my times will still be kinda slow with a stock converter, but i have a feeling my MPH will be really nice.
so if base boost with a full exhaust is 16lbs, does anyone know what base boost is with the dump open? its raining now, so i cant play anymore :sad:
is anyone having boost problems with the PTE turbos? i just looked at my datamaster runs again, and it looks like im getting ~2.4 pounds of fluctuation on datamaster.
