I asked the s10forum web site, those kids have no idea they have injectors in their trucks. anyway I need to know how much flow the 96+ injectors put out. I figured id try to ask you guys.

wow.. thats pretty small injectors.. def not enough to use on a turbo set up.. DAMNIT. thanks for the info.. you know if anyone makes larger injectors for the stock housing? im trying to spend as little as possible.

If you have the old style poppet injectors ('96-'01) you can get over 300 crank hp out of them with an fmu BUT they will lock up if they are spiked with fuel pressure too quickly (wot 1st gear). The newer style multec II's are true 19lb injectors and wont support anything over 280 crank hp even with over 100psi of fuel pressure.

With the poppet injectors - It took about 85psi of fuel pressure with 10psi of boost intercooled(supercharged), stock timing. With the new style multec II's I couldnt even come close to supplying enough fuel with them even with well over 100psi of fuel pressure and a bunch of timing taken out.

No one makes injectors that will fit which is why im going through the trouble of adapting a stock manifold to accept real injectors and using the multech II injector assembly to supply fuel to each injector. I have a set of shorty 44lb injectors, I'll beable to toss the fmu and use tunercat to adjust the stock ecu.

I would adapt a edelbrock 2114 for injectors but I have emissions to deal with and I dont plan on trying to get over 400hp so the stock manifold should be fine.

Re: injector flow 96+ s10

i would almost think that this manifold would be better if ported and polished than the edlebrock one. my only question.. how are you going to seal off the hole up top where the injector was. on a side note, i have cpi and was converting everythign to 96+ but then getting a stand alone fuel system (megasquirt or holly commander) and have it run the stock 96 injectors.. the only problem is now i find out they suck for fuel flow..

Re: injector flow 96+ s10

I'm going to use the multec II assembly to supply fuel to the injectors. So it would be the same thing only with real injectors on the end of the fuel lines rather than the little tiny 19lbrs.
