Installing edelbrock wp tips

Installing water pump wed. and goodyear hi miller hoses, no problem there, but as for the pump. Does the s. belt need to come off all the way and how much.
1. drain the system
2. romove stock air box and crossover
3. remove upper fan shroud
4. remove fan
and thats as far as I've ever made it.

The belt has to come off because it goes around the water pump.and make sure you get all the old gasket material off the block so you will not leak.
