Re: Intercooler options?

Cheap and flow do not go together with anything automotive. LOL.

If you want good flow without a lot of pressure drop through out the system you're going to spend a good amount on a good A2A. If your looking for cheap, with decent pressure drop and some good flow then you can look on egay for a billion of those knock off ones(which I have.. lol). Popes stuff is nice though and I would let him show you his stuff first before you set your heart on egay.

Re: Intercooler options?

I run the RPM Air to Air in my Ty. I can attest that Its good to 650 hp. I powder coated the piping for a nice finished look.

Re: Intercooler options?

Is a BOV really needed on these trucks? I have never run one on my GN even with 30psi of boost and had no issue. Im thinking ATA intercooler for the TY over the winter but not sure On if to put a BOV on it as its an extra $300-400 total to do one with fab and welding (I cant weld lol)

Re: Intercooler options?

no, bov not needed under certain amounts of boost, but they sound cool and is probably better for your turbo in the long run.

Ya it is but there a pain to install since I cant weld. :(
I may add one later never had any turbo issues with the GN or my T-type though and they both get the hell beat out of them lol. They sound cool when you get out of it to makes a big woooooshhhhhing sound lol

Re: Intercooler options?

get the rpm kit, I have a mmcroy core and did my own tubing and now I'm waaay past the cost of the rpm. The rpm is the best out.

The KB intercooler i have already has a greddy BOV installed. The core is polished and the upper cooler pipes are wraped in heat material. PM I will send you pics.
