Re: Intercooler

The lime green would be your wire. Get the smallest wire you can find (if I remember right, I might have had "doorbell" wire) Pinch it in there and run the other end to the nearest ground. Try and thread it along the yellow wire connecter (parallel) so it all fits under the relay. It might take you a few tries to get it just right. The arrow end goes to the firewall and the other end gets pinched.

So, you can do this to have the IC pump run full time instead of installing a switch to turn it on and off when you want?

Yes. You turn the ignition on and it runs all the time. Another option would be to have your chip reburned to do the same thing. HoodTuned.com will do that for you.

Easier for me to just ground that wire out. I'll be replacing my pump and IC lines next weekend, so I can do it then. Thanks!

Re: Intercooler

so I just finished the install with a Johnson pump from RPM. That thing fit perfectly and bolted right in. It took me about 4 hours total and was not too difficult at all. Here is how I routed the hose, do you guys think it will be problem routed this way? I did about a gallon of distilled and half a bottle of water wetter and no coolant. I am a real novice and this is the first thing I have done to my car and it was not a problem at all so if I can do it so can anyone because I am by no means mechanically inclined. I hink I am going to tr and fabricate a scoop somehow???

Thank you guys for all your help!!!! This forum is great!!!

I had a scoop fabricated from some plans I found online. A metal shop in Atlanta fabbed it up for me for 75 bucks out of 1/8 aluminum.

Re: Intercooler

Your lines go above the filler neck for the upper IC. You'll get air trapped in there and it will be difficult to purge it all out. Ideally you want the cap and filler neck to be the highest point in the system.
