I might be able to budget one, I might as well do it now while everything is already in pieces.

Scott- What if 20 or more people were interested, would that alter the price?

all the bad shit well known about atr, and you guys still want to buy their stuff???
unbelievable, and good luck!
just a fair warning from a former long term dealer of theirs who learned the hard way of their real nature and intent, and how much they care about their customers....
i wouldnt touch them with a 10 foot pole, my fellow listers.

There isn't any other choice really when it comes to SyTy exhaust. KB is worse. Borla is non-exsistant and REALLY expensive.

If you know of other bolt-on options - let us know. Very few shops are going to do mandrel bends. I had one shop tell me they couldn't do 3" pipe.

Are the hangers in the right place for a 93 Ty? Or do they need to be relocated and rewelded?

Thanks,
Alex

hi dave.
yeah, i completely understand.
sy exhausts are laid out so simply, i would just do a collection of manderels and weld em up.
ty is a bit more work.
if i was you guys, i'd hit, for example, jeff scott witha group order to build a system.
as well, there are plenty of local shops throughout the country who mandrel bend.
the bends themselves, if you wanna scratch build, are readily available.
aluminized is a good option to save a buncha $ if folks wanted.
so's sending it off to be coated - i paid, if i recall, for ex., less tehn 20 bucks to have my crossover pipe coated, at a name brand facility.
local poweder shops are cheaper, and in all areas cross the country.
any remotely competent shop can bend 3", by the way.

The fact is stainless is expensive. I have the ATR exhaust on my ty and I think it sounds great. The hangers held up to a beating going up the Alaskan Highway, so if they can handle that they'll surely last for a while. I don't know anything of the business practices of ATR, but I say if you guys can get a good price go with it. I'd post sound clips, but don't know how.

I've thought about takling to Jeff - however that guy has lots of things going on.

I had thought about doing my own - however my welding skills are non-exsistant. I'd be okay with the aluminized pipe as it is quite inexpensive and durable enough for my needs.

The shop that I was referring to was more concerned with clearance than with the actual bending of it. After 4 years - it finally rusted out. I'll have emissions coming soon and I don't think they'll be able to hook up to a turndown off the cat :)

I've looked at some of the other kits for the s-series and none of them are 3" pipe.

correct; 3" kits for s10's dont exist - they never had a motor that needed that large of a pipe.
if you can *cut* pipe (if not, get a simple cheap chain style cutter), just get the bends, fit and cut then, mark with diff colored markers as to which piece goes where and how it "clocks", take it to muffler shop or buddy or whatever and get it welded up.
you can use duct tape to hold the pieces together for fitment.
people do this all the time for cars where catbacks dont exist, or other issues are present.
as for product, i'm not per se knocking atr.
their service is a different story, and i dont feel rewarding atrocious performance is a good way to help ourselves.
whatever you guys do, its none of my business, and i was only trying to help you guys avoid a lousy vendor.
lastly, all of the above is nothing but my own personal opinion.

Ok, $350+shipping it is. We need a minimum order of 10 at this point.

Everyone that wants in for sure, please PM tyrod with the following:

1. your zip code
2. will need to be paid in advance(likely a check by mail)
3. delivery to customer could take up to 2 weeks
4. your exact name and delivery address and phone #

As soon as he gets this info, the shipping amount will be determined, so you know how much it will cost total.

So we know who is in for sure, please post a reply in this thread...... with "PM sent" so we can keep track on the # of orders.

Thanks to Rod for setting this up for us! :D

Rod has offered such good pricing in the past, on PTE kits, and it will be great to have parts at discount prices available to us.
