Internal syty eng parts question(s)

I have a correct syty GM replacement engine (part# 12515321) on the stand that I have a couple of questions about.

1. On the orig syty engines, as well as the correct replacements, do the main caps NOT have any part # cast into them? On the main caps on the eng I have there is only an arrow to let you know which way to put them on. No part #. Thats the first time Ive ever seen that on a factory GM eng of any type. All of em Ive ever had apart had part numbers cast into them.

2. Could someone that has a set of orig syty pistons laying around take a look at the inside of the piston (where the wrist pin/rod is) and let me know if there are any numbers there. The ones in this eng have numbers cast into the inside of the piston skirt on the cam side.

TIA

The main caps out of my Ty have no #s, just the arrow, an F on one end and an N on the other. These are all on the top of the cap. There's also the cap,s position stamped onto each one.

My pistons have what looks like a 6/6 (or G/G) stamped directly under the pin. There are a lot of #s stamped on the skirt: 14097270, 269-e, 1K, Z, -0, 7 GM.

I have put several genuine syty engines next to 2 replacement engines. my goal was to prove to the dealer that the replacements had the wrong caps...but out of the 4 egines I have seen neither the stockers or the replacements had any special markings. ...no numbers just those arrows.

Thanks a bunch guys. :D :D Just checking stuff out before this eng gets shipped half way round the globe.

I boroscoped it through the spark plug holes also and it has dished pistons so I think it'll be good to go from all the info.

Thanks again for the help
