As requested we have added a forum for International SyTys.

We hope to see more of the trucks from over seas and hear about their mods.

Can all the international users check-in here at this thread.
We all commend you guys for not letting the trucks over there die.
Now I am not sure we want more of them being shipped out... j/k :wink:

Hey guys...

I might not be across the pond but im across the river, lol. I live in Mexico and I own Syclone 2175.
There is also a guy I know of that owns 3 other Syclones and one in Guadalajara that got wrecked recently but that one wasnt original it was a transplanted drive train. I also heard that in Monterrey they had a low 11s Typhoon but 3 guys got in an accident in it and all 3 got killed.
The good news is that a guy From Aguascalientes is bringing a Typhoon pretty soon, I want to organize a club or a gathering at a drag strip.
I'll let you know what i can get done, later guys & keep on turbo/trucking!

Hi, I'm the owner of a Typhoon here in Norway. I've recently discovered this forum, and it's been very helpful allready.
I've had my truck for 2 years now, I was 22 when I bought it. 190.000 nok (about 25k $) was the price for a Ty with 86k miles on it.
2 months later, I got a real strange sound from the engine, it turned out to be a conncting rod bearing that failed. I did a full overhaul, and it's been runnning great since.

Hi, I'm a young 22 years guy from Spain and I own a '92 white/grey Typhoon. I choose it as my "company" car, among an Audi RS2 and a Porsche 968 CS. We use to prepare VW Golfs for racing, so the Ty is a good everyday car and also a far more civilised ride than my Golf, though fast enough to keep me happy!!! I bought it with 25K on the odometer for 9k Euros!!! Unluckily, the transmission went bang short after I got my hands on it. And now, for some lowering, new turbo, suspension, brembos and ZR1 wheels. I'll post you some pics once it's running.

Hi all,

I'm Mark Kelly and I'm in Milton Keynes, England. I've got a '92 white/grey Saudi Ty, 0634, with 90k kilometres on it. I got it shipped across from Dubai to replace my Lancia Delta Integrale a few years ago and, since then, it's been a project kinda waiting to get started. I've had the top end of the engine rebuilt with all new valves, now it's time for the transmission before getting on to suspension, bodywork......

Hope to get out to some shows this year and see some other UK syty's around. Anyone out there got any plans yet?

I'm in the Uk too & most likely spoken via mail at some time or other, though never met you yet (so far met 9 other UK current owners)
Went to the Wheels day show on good Friday , 2 other Ty's there & 1 Sy too, met up with Rob Mulder from Holland too who will have his Ty in UK about now for the summer. No plans for any other shows until the north weald show in late July ( as they are holding a RWYB too!! :) ) Dont know if I can make the may 2nd show at North Weald though Martin Ockendon (white/white ty) normaly goes. Had my trans go bad on me a few years back & had it re built localy, drop me a PM if you want to know more details on the trans (where, how, what price etc ) if you are interested.

Markus. 23 years old. Lives in the northern part of Sweden. '92 Ty #2233 Blk/blk. Looking for 11's on the 1/4 mile. With full interiour AC and so on.

I rebuilt my engine and trannies on my own.
1000 hp Sy on the dyno and the tranny goes again
I sell gaskets for cars and trucks

Hi all
My names matt and i live in surrey. i have a 1992 black typhoon which i bought from nottingham, been to a few shows met gmcvann at wheels day aldershot . will be there next year (05) . Had a few probs ,mainly a split fuel tank, and a wobble at high speed, now fixed turned out to be the wheels which i had re machined and painted. see ya!!
