I have not been a member of the site that long but even so it seems like there has been a lot of bad attitude lately, dont get me wrong i have had lots of help, love the site & have made some good friends along the way, but i get a feeling things are going bad:(. I'm sure i will piss some people off with this but i dont care as it's them that are bringing the site down:roll:
The latest two to go are T-Bone & George B.
I dont know T-bone and i'm sure he can be a dick sometimes like all of us but the joke thread(my arse) i'm sure worked just like planned, He left.
George Blake left because he got sick of the shit he was getting trying to help us. NEWS FLASH with 7695 trucks in total i think we should look after the people that are trying to help.:thumbsup: lets face it they aren't queing up to help us.:doh:

Come on having a laugh and winding people up is fun, but taking the piss and making it so they leave SUCKS.

I am new here too and got the same vibe. There are far to many worries in my life at this point to get all worked up over what people may say to me or about me on the internet or in person. If someone gets all worked up over "words" on the web then they must have a good life so God bless 'em for being so lucky. We are all a small group and getting smaller. There are trucks being parted out and wrecked so the #'s are dwindling slowly.

This site is great. A plethora of knowledge and a bunch of good people. I am glad to be here and use the search button often to help me. On that note, I must go search for why this F**CKING false knock is not leaving me alone. No knock at wot 18lbs boost but 18* while at 10%tps cruising.

It comes around from time to time, like everything else in life. Seems like the board "purges" itself on occasion. Sometimes it works out for the better, sometimes not so much (I'm sure others who have been around here a lot longer than myself will attest to this). People come and go throughout our real lives, the interweb just makes it more obvious / speeds the process. I've seen / been a part of quite a few boards (of all kinds) and still think this is about the best "community" going. :tup:

I have seen a few tussles go down. I have been in a few. At the end of the day, I have no problem telling someone where to stick it. But no matter what anyone said to me, no matter what pics someone posts up and says its me, I know, that it really doesn't mean anything. Some people type out these long psychoanalysis about the one they are bashing or arguing with and it gets old. I just say what I want to the point and they can deal with the rest. I wouldn't put any energy in to it because it is going to happen. Even if this weren't SYTY.NET it would happen. Bottom line is that people don't really know each other and things get misconstrued, I have been in that boat several times and its funny when you meet people face to face how different they can really be when you may have thought they were a big turd. I'd just ignore it and not choose sides.

Before you came there were many more who came and left.
Some people just can't handle the whole internet thing.

Should have been around back in the email list days when it came to physical threats from time to time.
If you think there is drama nowadays you'd be appalled at some of the things that occurred by past owners.

Also keep in mind that this is a community.
No one person defines how ALL of us feel.

Do not attempt to lump "all of you assholes" together as some have done while passing better judgment on a handful of their chosen friends.

I used to get offended when people would rant on the whole forum and just go off but now I know better and its best to let them vent and if they can't seem to handle themselves then maybe its best they leave.
I am not going bend over backwards to beg you to stay here nor will I take it upon myself to run someone off.

And like was said already there are AT LEAST 2 sides to every story and then there is the internet story and the one the poster would actually be willing to tell in person.
Sometimes those 2 don't jive well either.

And take into account its winter blues time, the economy sucks and every is uptight about their money, especially if they hand enough to lose significant amounts in investments.

Just take a deep breath stay away from the keyboard for awhile and come back with a new refreshed attitude and start fresh every day.

Some people can't seem to let things go and they just want to place blame everywhere but on themselves.

For the most part everyone is here for the same reasons and we are all on the same team.

Do you have an after market chip? My ultimate chip has some bad programming on a few of the settings.

Everyone just needs to remember this is just a forum. I don’t care about the bad attitudes. All I have to do is log off. All I have to say is this forum is amazing compared to other forums. I do feel like some of the more knowledgeable guys get frustrated with new/not so sy ty inclined people.

ditto. Being overseas you kind of miss out on how we pal around when we hang out in person...and then make fun of each other online. I will make fun of you in person probably more than i do online, but thats just how I roll. From my experience...people on the forum don't really get to KNOW each other until going to a meet, whether it be nats, homecoming, socal, pittsburgh, florida, NASTE, etc.

Once you go to your first meet, it's amazing how many true friends you drive home having. I've personally even witnessed people that don't get along on the board apologize to each other face to face , shake hands, and everything's then cool. Obviously this isn't always true, but its nice to know that it does happen. I've made plenty of friends through syty.net....where 75% of the time when we hang out it has nothing to do with the trucks. Trips to casinos, flyers games, skiing, football games, tailgating, parties, bars, you name it.

The way i see it, you come to this site looking for some assistance/help...couple months/years later you don't care as much about the trucks and it's more about the people.

I wish i knew the rest of the story on a few of these things, but i think on most occasions it is both parties at fault.

On the other hand Jimmy is right, this is the best damn forum i have ever seen or heard of, and the people on here is what makes it that way
