I've done quite a few searches on pcv related topics. I read once that both pcv valves have the same part number. Then I read on another post that there are 2 different part numbers for the front valve and the back. Which is it?
Thanks

Re: Is There Two Different Part Numbers For The Pcv Valves

I have AC Delco 799C in both of mine.
The valve works the same in both arrangements the only difference is the source of the vacuum.

When the motor is not under boost (vacuum) its pulling the air into the TB port, when you are in boost (TB is pressurized) it is pulling it in before the turbo.

I looked through GM parts Manual and did not see 2 part numbers. GM has 3 diffferent valve for 4.3's, one for L35, one for Lb4 except SyTY and one for SyTy's.

That's all good info. So the 799c is correct for both openings?

There is 1 TYPE of PCV valve in a SyTy, the quantity of this valve is TWO.

Maybe I am wrong then, just going by what I was told when I needed the PCV's.
I have 2 different ones in mine.....

V194 - Standard (this is the boost valve I believe)
V188T - Tru-Tech
