ISAC alky controller

..hard to swallow
What do you guys think about this alky controller? It's pretty new for the buick world and I'm planning on putting one on my regal. It gives datalogging and will adjust alky based on wideband input. This seems like it would work well for our trucks. It can also be used as a boost controller (which I'll do on the buick) but probably not if I was going to use it on the Ty. Seems like it would be a nice add on...I think right now it's about $300 (controller only) I have no vested interest in this and I currently have Razor's kit which I think is awesome but I love the safety features and datalogging with this.

Jay from Big Wood Racing is the salesperson and I believe co-developer. I would call him direct with any questions not answered from the website.

Talked to Jay this morning and have one on the way. Going to try the boost controller first, then add in the alky.

WOW. This thing looks pretty sweet. How much does it cost? The only thing I don't like is that you have to pop open the laptop.

Re: ISAC alky controller

If you go through turbobuick.com and tell them that is where you heard $325 shipped to my door.

The laptop sets it up, but the trim knob on front can be configured to adjust boost, alky, boost ramp rate, whatever you want.

Does the $325 get you just the controller or ?

Re: ISAC alky controller

I believe it's just the controller..it apparently works with nearly any alcohol system even DIY systems. Apparently if something happens with the pump or line the controller can prevent motor death with boost controlling failsafes

Jeff showed me the home page the other day... This system seems to take care of all the

worries I had about a alky system. Like tuning for alky/meth and being at 20somthing

lbs of boost and then the pump not coming on... or not enough... then you have pump

gas and no alky at way too much boost and you wipe out a engine. Before this system

I have not wanted to put a alky/meth kit on my car. THis could change all of that.

Very interested in looking more into it.

This thing looks pretty sweet, I was going to buy a SNOW controller to ditch my POS Devilsown controller but I think this thing really looks like the way to go. Any talk of warranty? I'm sure there isn't but thought I'd ask. I wonder what you have to do for the boost control solenoid, use what you already have?

Re: ISAC alky controller

The Buick guys have such a great set of vendors ... I miss that about SYTYs.

I am grateful to have who we have, but it has gotten really slim (keeps prices high) :(

I love our "custom" group though !!! ---

It would replace your devil's own controller use the same pump/lines. I was too impressed with devils own controller either.

The boost controller uses stock or aftermarket solenoid configured in several different ways.

There is a warranty, not sure how long.

I will have one late next week and keep this thread updated.

Re: ISAC alky controller

Got it today, be a few weeks before I try it but so far it appears to be very nice.

cool feature is you can hook it up to computer without the unit even being powered by the vehicle, its sitting here now hooked up. USB driver installed without an issue and it just worked so far anyways.

Wiring harness looked good also, so no complaints so far.

Throw one on your wife's truck for boost control, then let me know how it works!

Re: ISAC alky controller

Has anyone had any luck with this controller. Is there a recommended pump to go along with this controller? How invasive is the wiring for this? How does it compare to the alkycontrol setup? What other boost/alky setups are there to compare to this, pro's and cons of each?

Re: ISAC alky controller

I have one, I have not got it all hooked up yet, should be this week and if weather is ok I should be driving it by weekend.

Its a few wires depending if you use boost control and alky or just 1 of them. So far I am happy with it, if it works like it should should be great.
