Mike if it matters...............your money bought those seats!! Thanks.

Yes, we have the Kirkey black padded seat cover to go with them. The truck see's a lot of street duty in the summer along with a trip to the track almost everyweekend!!

Thanks again for the props guy's, I will keep posting pic's as we get them.

Sweet....you have it taped off to paint the cladding? What are you planning on doing dash wise, custom? Looks like its gonna be a contender for the top dog here...now there will be two very quick Syclones ruling Gratiot.....I guess one can take over well the other is down for service :rotf:

Looks good....who did the cage?

Keep us updated!

No painting!! Just trying to protect the paint from scratches, that's why it's taped. The stock dash has been fitted to go back in, fit just like it did prior to the cage. Not sure on "top dog contender", just hoping to go a little faster than this year and be a whole lot safer :)

Updates for you....................

More pic's for you guy's, as the work continues. Got the dash fitted and the sheetmetal finished.

Also as you can see, we started the fuel system and got pretty far with it.

That's all for now. Next week we should start the headers being made and the turbo placement in the truck. If not that it will be the new rear end going in.

No PF&E, we are doing them ourselves. As you can see we have a pretty good welder / fab guy. Just waiting for flanges and tubes to come in.

STOP with the compliments, it is only going to make his head bigger!!! If that happens we will have a hard time getting him under the truck to do work. J/K

Thanks for the compliments , it a lot of work but well worth it in the end. We will just keep pushing along. I don't think we will have any problems come spring with track tech inspection

Well we got a little bit more done this weekend. As you will see in these pic's, we have started the door bars, they will be swing out's, not standard weld ins as the pic's show. We also got the battery tray and bed rack completly done, all finish welded. The sheetmetal work around the spot in the truck where the cage went throug is completely finished. So we are on the final fab stuff to finish up and then the truck will be back on the ground rolling. :)

Is that cage NHRA leagal? I was always under the impression that the two back bars had to go through the back window for some reason... Sorry if it's been asked before, I didn't see it.

The cage is IHRA legal and should probably pass NHRA. We have a lot of IHRA tracks in Michigan so that was all we were worried about passing. The bars that go to the back in our truck are for frame rigidity maore than anything. We did not put them in for the safety reason, we were going to leave them off all together.

...just a simple question...

if you are, as your screen name implies 2 fat guys, how are you going to get over/around the support rails inthe door openings...doesn't look too "fat-guy" friendly!

Keep up the good work...hope to see it done soon at some of the events up here in Grand Haven area this year!
