Correct....pass. side of the diff on the front side (towards pinion). Pretty easy to locate. Easiest way to fill is to lift truck by the body (giving more clearance) and use a piece of hose on the end to get a good angle on the hole. Fill till she runs out.

Guys,

Don't know if U know, but O'Reillys' can get U a magnetic plug for that location. They can order it from Doorman and I got a couple of them.
